Carpet rolls, linoleum sheets, hardwood planks, ceramic tile, the underlayment underneath.

Carpet being rolled and cut into strips for haul-away. Empty room mid-tear-out, tack strips on the floor edge, dust in light. Action shot of the process, no people necessary.
Flooring removal is one of the most physical parts of a renovation. Carpet has to be cut into manageable strips, tack strips pried up, padding rolled separately. Hardwood comes up plank by plank if you want to preserve it, or in chunks if you're starting clean. Tile gets jackhammered or hand-pried, depending on the subfloor underneath. Linoleum and vinyl can usually be peeled. We handle the whole process: tear out the flooring (the labor) and haul it away (the disposal). Or, if your contractor is doing the tear-out, we'll just do the haul-away. We can stage a truck at your driveway on demolition day. Hardwood in salvageable condition gets evaluated for our reuse partners. Carpet padding gets compressed and recycled where possible. Tile and thin-set go to a C&D facility. Carpet itself is harder to recycle and usually lands at a transfer station, though we work with one Capital Region carpet-to-energy partner when their schedule allows.

The flooring removal process.
If we're tearing out: cut and remove section by section, sweep behind us as we go. If we're hauling: arrive with truck on demo day, load everything as your crew tears out, leave with the truck full.

FAQ
Common questions.
- How is the price calculated?
- By volume, not weight. We charge by how much of the truck you fill, from a single item ($129) up to a full 15-yard load ($549). Pricing is on the Pricing page so you know what to expect before we show up.
- Are there any hidden fees?
- No. No trip charges, no fuel surcharges, no stair fees, no 'heavy item' fees. The quote we give is the price you pay. We get this question a lot because some of the national chains aren't transparent about this.
- How do you compare to 1-800-GOT-JUNK and College Hunks?
- We're typically 10 to 15% cheaper for the same volume, and we don't hide the prices. We're a small local outfit. Lower overhead means a better rate for you.
- Can you come the same day?
- Often yes, especially if you book before noon. Tuesday through Friday tend to have the most same-day slots open. Use the quote form and we'll text you confirmation within a couple of hours.
- What if I just have one or two things?
- Single items welcome. Our minimum charge is $129. That covers one couch, one mattress, one fridge, plus whatever fits around it. No trip charge.
Why us
The honest side-by-side.
Worth knowing before you book. We're not always the cheapest, but we're the most predictable. Surprise charges are how people end up hating hauling companies.
