Basement cleanouts are physically harder than any other room. Almost everything has to come up at least one flight of stairs, often two. We're specialists in old Capital Region homes (Stockade District, Pine Hills, South Troy, Lansingburgh, Saratoga's Victorian district) where staircases are narrow, sometimes curved, and basement clearances are six feet. We bring shoulder-carry straps, four-wheel dollies that fit tight stairs, and crew members with experience navigating the unique geometry of an 1890 basement. Post-flood cleanouts are a common Capital Region situation after spring snowmelt or summer thunderstorms, and they get priority scheduling. Water-damaged drywall, soaked carpet pad, and saturated cardboard need to be out fast to prevent mold. We coordinate with mold-remediation specialists if you'd like a referral. Standard basement cleanouts (no flood) are usually a 1/2 truck job. Full basement cleanouts (estate, downsize, decades of storage) typically need a 3/4 or full truck.
